Ian Pringle
Group Work Facilitation Specialist
Ian has unique background as he originally trained as an actor. Having worked as a Jobbing (and NOT jobbing actor) for a few years after leaving Drama School he landed a Job with internationally renowned and award winning Prison Theatre company Geese Theatre. During his time with Geese Ian developed skills applying his background and training as a performer to the skills of Group-work facilitation. He worked in Prisons across the entire UK estate as well as in probation groups, gaining accreditation on the Community Sex Offender Group-work Programme. Ian spent five years in total with Geese until he left in 2010. Since then Ian has adapted his skills and whilst continuing to work in offending behaviour contexts he has also designed and delivered training with schools, public sector and private sector organisations. His experiential and lively training never fails to engage even the most resistant of individuals. Alongside this Ian continues to work as an actor, voiceover and audiobook narrator. His Work with New Ways includes staff training and group work facilitation for the young people.
